Kick it with a nostalgic throwback

Kick is a love letter back to simpler times, where you play as The Kid on a nostalgic journey packed with adventure, making your way to school! But don’t be late or else!
Making your way to school sounds easy, but getting there on time is much harder than it seems!

STORY:

The story of Kick is very simple but effective for a small game.

You play as The Kid, leaving your house to walk to school in the morning. You kick a soccer ball on your way there, stopping in various locations throughout your city to practice your soccer skills in the park, run to catch the train, and take shortcuts to make it on time. At the end of your journey, you meet up with your friend at school who is kicking her own ball around.

GAMES LIKE:
If you loved Planet of Lana…

  • Same heart. More bounce.
  • Planet of Lana won players over with its hand-crafted visual beauty, a small companion character, and a journey told through atmosphere and movement rather than dialogue. Kick shares that same DNA — a hand-drawn world, a loyal dog companion, and storytelling baked into the act of moving through a level.
  • Kick adds active physics-based gameplay and a playful tone in place of drama

If you loved OlliOlli…

  • Same flow state. Different sport.
  • OlliOlli turned skateboarding into a side-scrolling rhythm of momentum, tricks, and learning to read a level by feel. Kick lives in exactly that same zone — reading terrain, finding the right timing, and chasing the satisfying feeling of a clean run. Ball physics replace skateboard tricks, but the obsession is identical.
  • Kick trades the grind for dribbling and adds a fuller world to explore
